Simply there are fifteen lectures from September 2024 to June 2025, with eight being “live at the Guildhall” and seven via ZOOM.
I try to mix it up between Archaeology and History, so the forthcoming in my mind splits down as follows, eight are Archaeology, four are History and three I cannot decide which camp they fit in.
It is all history anyway so my “split” is probably irrelevent but you can see where I am coming from.
Mathew Morris and Kate Farr are returning lecturers having visited us on several previous occasions. The remainder of the speakers are new to the Society but hopefully future invitations will follow, assuming they have other talks in their repertoire.
I think The Seaside Piers lecture by Shaun Farrelly is a bit “off piste” for the Society but it struck me as different and interesting, likewise the lecture by Zoe Toft also caught my attention.
So there I present for your delectation the 2024/2025 Season of Lectures which commences on Friday 13th September next.
