Lichfield & Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust - Bob Williams. A Zoom Talk at 8.00 pm on Friday.

Friday 19th February 2021, 20:00-20:00
The next SA&HS Zoom lecture is this Friday evening 19th February.  Bob Williams last came to speak to the Society in April 2008 at St Mary's Centre.  Bob is Finance Director at LHCRT and his talk this time, 13 years on, will be an update about the history of the two canals and the significant progress and achievements in the restoration work to the waterways over the course of the last 25/30 years.

To ultimately provide a complete re-creation and re-establishment of the joined-up links across the Lichfield and Hatherton Canals and associated water courses network.  All the way from the Coventry Canal at Huddlesford in the east to the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal at Hatherton Junction in the west.  For the benefit of all.  Very much a matter of great local interest.

Bob has been a Member of the LHCRT Board of Trustees since 1996 and has been personally involved in all aspects of intensive labour work, scheme management, recording, promotion and funding, to Executive Management level.

Regarding the Zoom talk: you will receive from us the requisite Zoom participant email containing link to the event - expect this in your email Inbox in the morning on Friday 19th February, the day of the lecture.  You can start to access the meeting from 7.30 pm onwards.

This will be our 6th Zoom talk in series.  Arranged by Brian Bull SA&HS Lecture Programme Secretary.  The Zoom aspect is set up and enabled by Paul Norris.  The host for the evening - to be confirmed.
